Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool before transferring to a jar or airtight container. The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
