Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet, cut side down, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they start to brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return the crispy bacon to the skillet, and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together.
