Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chili peppers
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, canned chili peppers, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, shredded cabbage, and tomato sauce. Mix until well combined.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
