Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Diced tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Roll out each puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases. Cut each sheet into squares large enough to fit into a muffin tin.
  5. Grease a muffin tin and press each pastry square into the cups, forming a shell.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture into each pastry cup and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the exposed pastry edges for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with diced tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce before serving.
