Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, then the egg and cheese mixture. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and top with the remaining cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
