Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, sliced potatoes, beef broth, cream of chicken soup, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil, stir the casserole gently, and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve with a dollop of sour cream on top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
