Ingredients:

  • 250g pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 300g minced beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella or a blend)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the minced beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  5. Stir in the ketchup and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture. Mix well to ensure the pasta is coated.
