Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyere)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Butterfly the chicken breasts by slicing them horizontally without cutting all the way through, creating a pocket.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard inside each chicken breast pocket.
  4. Layer 2 slices of ham and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese in each pocket.
  5. Secure the openings with toothpicks to prevent the filling from escaping.
  6. Rub the outside of the chicken with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Place the stuffed chicken breasts in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
