Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 2 slices of bread (white or whole grain)
  • 2 leaves of romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  4. Layer the lettuce leaves on one slice of bread, followed by the tomato slices. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
