Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and nutmeg (if using), and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, coating it with the Alfredo sauce. Allow it to heat through for a minute.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
