Ingredients:

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. 1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. 2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  3. 3. Add butter to the skillet with the bacon drippings and melt over medium-low heat.
  4. 4. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. 5. Pour the milk mixture into the skillet, stirring continuously to create a creamy sauce. Gradually add the reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  6. 6. Add the cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet, tossing to combine and coat the pasta in the sauce.
  7. 7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
