Ingredients:

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined. Add the cooked pasta and beef to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom. Pour half of the pasta and beef mixture over the potatoes.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and pasta mixture.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and cover with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
