Ingredients:

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, browned sausage, cream cheese, half of the cheddar cheese, half of the cheddar jack cheese, cream of celery soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and cheddar jack cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
