Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake the meatballs for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet used for the meatballs, add chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
  8. Stir in the mozzarella cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce and gently toss to combine. Serve the creamy gnocchi topped with meatballs.
