Ingredients:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced ham to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with black pepper, nutmeg, and salt to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley just before serving.
