Ingredients:

  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the cube steaks with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté until they are translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix, stirring until well combined.
  7. Return the cube steaks to the skillet, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the steaks are tender.
