Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced potatoes in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they start to turn golden brown.
  3. Flip the potatoes and add the sliced onions. Continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until both the potatoes and onions are crispy and caramelized.
