Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  4. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each strip in the flour mixture, then dip back into the buttermilk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken strips in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the chicken strips and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
