Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sourdough starter (active and bubbly)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon water (if needed)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, olive oil, sea salt, rosemary, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. If the dough is too dry, add a tablespoon of water gradually until it comes together.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a thin sheet, about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into desired shapes using a pizza cutter or knife and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle additional sea salt on top of the crackers.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
