Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Cuban bread
  • 1/2 pound roasted pork, sliced
  • 1/4 pound smoked ham, sliced
  • 1/4 pound Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, cilantro, salt, and pepper to create the zesty aioli.
  2. Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise and spread the aioli on both sides.
  3. Layer the roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on the bottom half of the bread.
  4. Top with the other half of the bread and press down gently.
  5. Spread softened butter on the outside of the sandwich.
  6. Preheat a panini press or skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for about 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  7. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve immediately.
