Ingredients:

  • 1 batch pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. On one half of the dough, layer the cucumber slices and then add the chicken mixture on top.
  5. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a pocket and crimp the edges tightly to seal.
  6. Brush the top of the calzone with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Transfer the calzone to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
