Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or other hot sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each beef patty first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure they are well coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the breaded patties to the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the patties are frying, prepare the spicy aioli by mixing mayonnaise, sriracha, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. To assemble, place a fried patty on the bottom half of each burger bun, add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a generous dollop of spicy aioli before topping with the other half of the bun.
