Ingredients:

  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 1 pound ground beef or pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, then return the meatballs to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface, then drain.
  5. Toss the cooked gnocchi in the creamy meatball sauce until well coated. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
