Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the beef and bean mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
