Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic, red pepper flakes, sun-dried tomatoes, egg, and milk.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, then mix until just combined.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden brown color.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
  8. Serve the meatballs with pasta, on a sub roll, or on their own as an appetizer.
