Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden crust.
  5. In the last few minutes of cooking, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve the chicken with the sauce drizzled on top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
