Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the chicken garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, alongside steamed rice or vegetables.
