Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken breasts and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and cover it with the lemon sour cream mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. While the chicken is baking, prepare the gravy. In the same skillet used for the chicken, add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Gradually add the chicken broth, whisking to avoid lumps. Allow it to simmer until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Once the chicken is done, serve it hot, drizzled with the savory gravy and garnished with fresh parsley.
