Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sesame seed burger buns
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onions

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the special sauce. Set aside.
  2. Form the ground beef into 8 small patties, about 1/4 inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Toast the sesame seed buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  5. Assemble the Big Mac by spreading a layer of the special sauce on the bottom bun. Add a slice of cheese, a beef patty, some lettuce, pickles, and onions.
  6. Add the middle bun, then repeat the layers: sauce, cheese, beef patty, lettuce, pickles, and onions.
  7. Finally, place the top bun on and serve your homemade Big Mac with your favorite fries.
