Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, minced garlic, chopped onion, egg, oregano, salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs to help them brown in the oven.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Serve the meatballs with the warm marinara sauce and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
