Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, green)
  • 1 cup sliced olives (black or green)
  • 1/2 cup artichoke hearts, quartered
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  7. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the feta cheese.
  9. Top with sliced bell peppers, olives, and artichoke hearts. Sprinkle with oregano and basil.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing.
