  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
