Ingredients:

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  5. In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by half of the turkey mixture, half of the crispy turkey bacon, and a third of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers: noodles, ricotta, turkey mixture, turkey bacon, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Top with the remaining noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
