Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 8 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Brush the surface of the dough with olive oil and sprinkle the minced garlic, oregano, basil, and crushed red pepper flakes evenly over it.
  4. Layer the sliced pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough tightly to form a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
