Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and have released their moisture, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
