Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.
  3. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
  4. Add the beef broth, white wine, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and thyme to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until fully incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
  8. Serve the beef and mushroom mixture over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
