Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook until they are browned and tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mix well to combine. Cook for an additional minute.
  6. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the beef mixture over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
