Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
  4. Push the mushroom mixture to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef to the other side. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mix well, cooking for an additional minute.
  6. Stir in the beef broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it thicken for about 5 minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and fold in the sour cream until well combined.
  8. Serve the beef mixture over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
