Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef tips
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the beef tips to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mix well to coat. Cook for another 2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  5. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and let it cook for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender and the gravy has thickened.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
