Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
