Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, parsley, basil, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf and drizzle the balsamic glaze over it.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
