Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Tomato slices, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and their moisture has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sautéed mushrooms, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped parsley. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Form the ground beef into four equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of the mushroom mayonnaise on the bottom bun, followed by the beef patty, lettuce, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
