Ingredients:

  • 2 simit bread rolls
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon za'atar seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the simit bread rolls in half horizontally to create a base.
  3. Place the simit halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  4. Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce over each simit half.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauce.
  6. Arrange the sliced bell peppers, onion, and black olives over the cheese.
