Ingredients:

  • 1 medium green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, and let them splutter.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes and turmeric powder. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the sliced cabbage and salt. Mix well and cover the pan. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Squeeze in lemon juice and stir.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
