Ingredients:

  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and slit green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes become soft.
  4. Add diced potatoes and peas to the pan, mixing well with the onion-tomato mixture.
  5. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt. Add enough water to cover the vegetables, then bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Once the potatoes are cooked, add the paneer cubes and garam masala. Stir gently to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
