Ingredients:

  • 12 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup mild salsa
  • 1/2 cup crema (Mexican sour cream)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sliced jalapeños

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and follow package instructions, adding water as needed. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  3. While the meat is cooking, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  4. Assemble the taco bites by placing a spoonful of taco meat onto each tortilla.
  5. Top with a small amount of shredded lettuce, a drizzle of crema, and a spoonful of salsa.
  6. If desired, add optional toppings like diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, or jalapeños.
  7. Fold the tortillas in half to create bite-sized taco bites and serve immediately.
