Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a leaner option)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (for crunch)
  • 1 diced tomato (for freshness)

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the taco seasoning to the meat, along with 2/3 cup of water. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until pliable.
  4. On each tortilla, layer a generous portion of the taco meat, followed by shredded cheese, salsa, a dollop of sour cream, and optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, and cilantro.
  5. Wrap the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides as you roll them up. Cut in half if desired and serve immediately.
