Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • Cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chicken breast and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Pour this sauce over the chicken and vegetables.
  6. Stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce slightly. Cook for another minute until the sauce is glossy.
  7. Remove from heat and fold in the Thai basil leaves until just wilted.
  8. Serve hot over cooked jasmine rice.
