Ingredients:

  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pandan leaf (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar. If using, add the pandan leaf for additional aroma.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
