  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the finely chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  6. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
